A midday meditation break has a number of potential benefits
– It’s an effective way to de-stress after a long meeting or difficult conversation. – It can relax tight muscles caused by sitting slumped over a computer. – By breaking your normal cycle of thinking, it can also boost focus, creativity, and productivity. – Plus, it can be a great awareness building tool, allowing you to be more open-minded and accepting of others.
By meditating at the same time, collectively you, the Chow Qigong community and the world can share the same energy and use it as a source of healing for the entire day.Best of all, it’s free and easy to do.
Simply relax during the session and notice what is happening in your body, remaining still and quiet. The ultimate goal of meditation is to reach a constant state of centeredness or harmony with one’s self.
During the meditation, you may feel different sensations – learn to accept it and realize that this is a time of detoxification, mentally, physically and spiritually. You can be anywhere and receive the energy – you can be doing anything.
All you need to do is to focus your intention to join the connection.
There are three stages to the Chow Qigong Silver Thread Meditation

Wherever you are – Simply begin the meditation by sitting (cross-legged, only if possible) or standing comfortably, with hands linked and with good posture.
Breathe deeply from the diaphragm, with air in through the nose and out through the lips, seeing yourself in great health.
Call on the power of the universe to guide the healing of self to the planet and let the images and sensations of these five elements (which represents the whole of self and the universe) come to mind….fire….earth….metal….water….and….wood. *In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the universe is represented by the five elements
Now, with the enhanced life force within yourself, send forth your love, gratitude and compassion. See and feel successful resolutions to your problem, with yourself and the planet totally whole and healthy.
End the meditation by encircling with your arms bringing the Qi – universal energy back to the Dan Tien (Seat of Life) at the navel area (repeat three times) to replenish your life force having emitted your Qi for the healing.
Please, begin immediately daily at 12 noon (from 11am to 1pm is the time of the heart in Traditional Chinese Medicine!)
